This term 2 year 8 classes prepared a workshop on the circulatory system to Year 6 Coney Hill primary school pupils. This included the Year 8’s preparing some hands on activities involving the heart, lungs and blood vessels.

The pupils of Coney Hill went around all the different activities where they learnt from the Year 8’s about the different parts of the Circulatory system. They then went back to their school to discuss what they had learnt from our students' and designed their own posters.

The following day the pupils were invited back to discuss what they had learnt and then to carry-out a dissection of a heart. After the dissection workshop the Coney Hill pupils then took part in an interactive quiz made by the Year 8’s to see what they had learnt.

The year 6’s enjoyed the opportunity to do these hands on activities

Thank you to Year 8 for all their hard work and enthusiasm in preparing the workshops. A fine time was had by all.
