Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium funding is allocated by the Department for Education from April to March each year. The funding is provided for students known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) in any of the previous 6 years, Children adopted from care or who have left care, and students who have a parent in the armed forces. the funding allocated in June 2019 for the financial year (April 2019 to March 2020) is £183,260.

We are constantly evaluating our use of PP funding and its impact. Our most recent external PP review took place in January 2019. We will review the success of our pupil premium strategy each autumn following GCSE results.

Use of Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium money is spent on a wide range of things which all intend to ensure Pupil Premium students have access to every opportunity in school and to narrow the gap in progress and attainment between Pupil Premium and other students. The impact is evaluated continuously to ensure money is spent effectively. A selection of these is included below.
