Threads Exhibition

It was our privilege to be the only school who took part in the Threads exhibition by Voices of Gloucester. The coat was created following on from Jo Teague's workshop with students before the summer break.

The coat is currently on display in the Lady Chapel at Gloucester Cathedral and has over 23 patches embroidered by Barnwood Park students - there are only 123 in total. The coat was worn on the Gloucester Day parade by former student Tia Callum.

The patches represent what the city means to the students, with some students embroidering their favourite bench, nail bar, music and shops amongst other things.

The coat will be displayed in the Museum and then become part of the Gloucester City archive.
