Year 11 Science Workshop
‘The Science of Sewage’
Rob Jansen, an Education Officer from Severn Trent, delivered an interactive and informative workshop to Year 11 students. The workshop encompassed key vocabulary linked to the GCSE Science curriculum, videos, virtual tours, props, as well as real life pictures and scenarios which gave our students an insight into some of the job roles within the company.
The Science of Sewage covers:
- The water cycle, covering both the waste and water treatment processes
- How a healthy sewer contributes to a healthy environment and how we can all help to reduce blockages
- Bioresources and renewable energy
- Careers & Apprenticeships at Severn Trent
